April 26th – Third Annual Event in Honor of ARNA’s Florence Piron Bridges Open Science and Local Knowledge

Nukskahtowin at the Athabasca University, in partnership with the Association science et bien commun and the UNESCO Decade for Indigenous Languages, invites you to join and celebrate the 3rd edition of the day for “Florence Piron” with presentations from specialists including:
• Leonard Marchand, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of British Columbia and Committee member for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
• Nelson Casimiro Zavale, Associate Professor at Eduardo Mondlane University, Mozambique, and an affiliate of the African Academy of Sciences.
• Félicité Arindo, Doctoral candidate at Université Ngaoundéré and Claire Depardieu, Doctor from
Université Laval will present the Yanayi Project, a citizen science project aimed at climate change resilience in three African countries (Benin, Cameroon, Senegal).
 Budd Hall, Officer of the Order of Canada and UNESCO Co-Chair in Community-Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education.
