Journal Opportunity, for a special issue on PAR for the journal Humanity and Society
Participatory Action Research (PAR) has a long history in the U.S. a s well as many other countries. This issue highlights how PAR, and i n particular community-driven and/or critical PAR, is not only a valid option for humanist sociology, but also seeks t o promote social change through collaborative community-engaged design, implementation o f research, and/or results. In this political moment, models that are grounded i n democratic decision making and the logics of inclusion are especially valuable.
We seek abstracts from both community activists or groups as well as academics. International submissions are welcome.
